why is Google smarther than Bing?
#1
"what is my location"

Bing shows me the corporate headquarters located 500 miles away
Google shows me the exact location, down to maybe 1/4 mile or so.

Both are open InPrivate window. No cookies, no fun.

Depends how it gets information. You are on the corporate IP, but Google may know subdomains.

LOL, I guess even when I use a Microsoft browser with InPrivate window active, Google can still look inside.

Put a UK postcode in to Google and it takes you to the middle of the small area of that postcode, mostly. Our previous house, the marker came down right on top of our house. Our current house places us over 5 miles away. The reason is ( and this is Google trying to be too clever but cheap) is that despite our postcode being live for over two years Google has not updated its maps to show this so it doesn't recognise it. Unfortunately, unlike other maps which in that case would just say 'sorry, not recognised', Google tries to be clever. It Googles the postcode and finds it's associated with a road which happens to be our road but as its maps haven't been updated it assumes that the road name must be wrong so sends people to a similar named but not the same name road over 5 miles away. Everyone on our new estate has had parcels delivered incorrectly because the couriers used Google.

People used to complain about Apple Maps but they recognised us a long time ago.

Google has been collecting info on you for years without approval. M$ is pretending to follow corporate rules.
