OK guys, I caved and decided to go with my local AutoZone ... they don't charge for the install, and it does seem to make sense to get it locally, in case it craps out on me before the three year warranty is up. They told me they can come out to the car to do the install via curbside pickup.

Sorry, very few MG beads around ... remember, we're having Yardi Gras instead.

Always have installed my own batteries (used to get them from Sears, now gone), and in fact installed one in my wife's '07 Subaru Outback last summer (bit of a pain, actually: tight spot).
But a couple of weeks ago I decided that the battery in my 2013 Ford Expedition was sounding a little tired in the cold weather. Heck, it might even have been the original. I priced one at Advance, then found that my local mechanic's shop would do it for the same battery price, plus $32 labor. Screw it, I said: don't have to brave the cold, nor lift the 45-pound battery, standing on a shaky stool to get over the fender. So I let them do it.
Let them replace the window regulator in the Expy's driver door, too. The truck won't fit in my garage, and it was not something I was going to attempt outdoors in the cold, with all the little bolts and clips to fumble with and lose, so what the heck. Yeah, getting old, I know.

Battery replacement is done, thanks everyone. Easy peasy no-contact curbside (in the parking lot) installation. When I saw him do it, it truly was easy and I could have done myself.
The total price will have been about $220, so about $50 more than if I were to have bought on Amazon and done myself, but on the other hand ... three year warranty and if it goes bad during that time, they're local.

Advantage over Amazon is also not having to deal with disposing of the old battery. That can be a pain as many parts stores only take in batteries for the core charge refund from a prior purchase. Down here will take them in at the transfer station, but that would require going during their limited hors open and dropping it off.
Which reminds me, I have several UPS batteries to dispose of eventually.

I have a pile of old UPSes from our former office. I think out recycle station will take them without taking the batteries out. Hope so, anyway.
