Macbook built in iSight won't connect to iMovie, but will to iMovieHD. Huh ?

Anyone see this ? It's just kind of weird. I mean I know the programs are empirically the same, but it's weird annoying. All apps are latests and greatest with up to date patches and whatnot. MacBook Dual Core 2G refurb (got it last month for my temporarily wheelchair bound wife )

And yes, the image quality is crummy, but it's fun for making quick stupid movies of the kids and dogs hopping around. I wanted to show her how it's done, and maybe get justification for a digital video cam.... Muhahaha...

I have an image in my head now of you chasing your kids & pets around with an open MacBook pointed at 'em. That might be illegal in some states!

Edited because I stupidly didn't read the query properly. Sorry!

Try again.

Did you put iMovie on the machine as didn't it come with iMovie HD installed. In case I need to know for my macBook Pro why shouldn't you use iMovie HD?

voodoo- hmm, you may have a point. I foolishly used the migration assistant to migrate her stuff from our family iMac DV. Which was running Jaguar. Betcha that's what happened.

Genius ! Thanks !
