Anyone having trouble with Yahoo mail?
#1
I can't seem to send out -- am getting an error message 999. I emailed them about it and they give the exact same info as on the error page-- namely:

1) that it may be a temporary problem

2) that my computer might be infected with a virus (yeah, right)

3) that there might be unusual activity from my ISP (tried two different ones, same results with both)

4) that some other crud might apply, which it doesn't in my case.

..just worked fine for me.

Yeah, what especially doesn't make sense about it-- I also cannot even save drafts of messages, which should have nothing whatsoever about "unusual activity from [my] ISP" or anything to do with a virus.

Not so much with Yahoo mail, but so far Gmail from Google is a big joke.It grinds and grinds, and maybe if I am very lucky it will finally load, but as a rule I don't have the patience to wait and see!!!

I'm not sure why you would expect any useful support from a giant, free service.
How do you try a different ISP?
Dod you try from different computers? Different browsers?

There are about a zillion reasons to not use gmail, but I have never found speed to be among them.

Does Yahoo mail support POP or IMAP? If not, how do you keep your Yahoo account but still use a local client to check your mail? Forwarding perhaps?

Yes, I had tried different ISP's and computers, and no, I am not using a local client to check the email nor am I forwarding the mail...

Weird...

The problem only seems to be with one particular message when I want to reply to it or save a draft of the reply. It's a message that I received from someone on Craigslist, so I wonder if that has something to do with it.
