as soon as the WiFi Buffalo Air Station G router is hooked up then the speed is 0.015 Mbps.
for download, and 0.379 Mbps for upload. Spent hours on the phone with tech support and the answers are always the same, "The line test is fine. The connection speed is optimal. It's your computer." Not sure which one offers good and reliable service in So CAL. Not interested in cable nor satellite. We only want basic standalone DSL.

If DSL speed is acceptable when directly connected with the DSL modem, then the problems lies with your DSL router - something is not set right.

What is the speed like if you Ethernet connect your computer to the Router instead of using WiFI?

If that doesn't give any more clues, then one more thing to try, if your router supports cloning MAC addresses, give it the MAC address of the computer that was working fine directly connected to the modem. That MAC address is about the only thing that is different between your good direct connect and your bad modem connect.

Remember to power cycle both the modem and router after changing.

The speeds were much better after I got the phone with VZN tech support. It was around 9 P.M.
