GREAT documentary: The Tillman Story
#1

This was a remarkable story. This is a film that will shatter just about everyone's preconceived ideas about Tillman. A very interesting man. A very good man.

Right out of the gate, the film works to make this a story about a man - not just a new figure/ sports figure. It gets personal right away.

See it...

Can it be described as simply as it leans anti-war or it leans pro-war?

I have a feeling it goes WAY beyond that, Mini...

[spoiler=Netflix summary]
Pat Tillman's family comes forward to tell the real story about what happened on April 22, 2004, in Afghanistan when the pro football player-turned-U.S. soldier was killed by friendly fire and not the Taliban, as first reported. Amir Bar-Lev's documentary pieces together the Tillmans' search for the truth, how they exposed a military cover-up that led to top-ranking officers and called to the carpet the likes of Donald Rumsfeld.

don't jump to any conclusions

the one thing the family hates the most is people taking his death and using it to promote their political agenda. And if you think it's just one side doing it, then you need to see the film.

One of the biggest cover ups ever. And we still don't know what really happened there.

i just watched the film with my wife and 17yr old daughter.

i find myself shaking my head in wonderment.

i cannot believe that those who were command of the army and the nation during 2002-2008 couldn't do better.

a real damn shame.

...that we've heard of. The biggest cover-ups remain covered up.
