IMFDB.com The Internet Movie Firearms DataBase

This is a pretty cool site. Ever see a weapon in a movie and wonder what it was? This must be a labor of love because I can't imagine anyone researching all of this, taking screenshots, and indexing all of it. Still, if you see something in a movie you want identified, this place is thorough.

I use it all the time, along with http://world.guns.ru/ , especially if I am reading a book, and the author tries to slip in a weapon that may or may not exist.

For Example, the Ruger MagHook MH-12 in the Mathew Reilley books does NOT exist.

Not being particularly weapons-literate, my movie gun categories are:
1. BFG
2. LFG
3. WTF

Thanks for the pointers Smile

Lots of times, they will slap a fake facade on a Beretta 93R to create a unique full auto pistol. That's what Lara Croft had in Tomb Raider 2, among a number of other movies.
