USA Network series "Suits"

A friend told me this was worthwhile so I just got through watching the series premere/pilot.
I liked it so this will be added to Royal Pains as a must-see TV show.

It's a good show.

Tired old stories, but the dialogue is intelligent and the actors are very good.

I've been enjoying it a lot. It's a nice twist on lawyer procedural show (which usually bore me).

However it has the potential to go south in a hurry with Rick Hoffman and his character. He plays pretty much the same character in everything he's in, and his delivery really annoys me.

If they keep using him as the nemesis, this show will get old in a hurry.

Yes! Chloe traded in her brown coat for a pant suit.

That's Sarge to you, mister! But Nathan will ALWAYS be Capt. Tightpants.

:agree:

Sadly, a lot of new shows have a similarly annoying character. The new Torchwood series, Royal Pains and another show that I like, CHAOS, for example.

I don't know about you, but I don't need to have an annoying character ,who seems out of place and out of sync with the rest of the story line, to make a show interesting. It always has the opposite affect on me.

This makes me wonder what the writers are going for, if a character makes me want to turn off a show that I otherwise like?
