Use it IN ADDITION to your magic mouse as you get accustomed to it.
Then you truly have the best of both worlds!

Since the latest gen of iMacs you choose between a Magic Mouse and a Magic Trackpad.

I love my MTP-- get that!!! I'm sure you have a mouse around somewhere if you can't adapt.

$200 gets you a nice second monitor, if you have room on your desk.

Get the 27".

Real estate.

The only advantage a like-equipped 21" iMac would have is being able to fit into a smaller space, if you have some restriction.

You're going from a 4:3 iMac (I think) to a 16:9 iMac. The 27" will give you a *little* vertical height back that you lose when moving to the widescreen format.

Plus you can put two documents side be side and maintain some semblance of legibility compared to the 21".

And kickin' back a bit to watch a movie on the 27 is darn nice.

Buy.com had a nice Samsung 27" monitor for just $299 if we're talking dual here. Shoot, if they made a Mac the size of a wall, I'd want that sucker.
