Nabbed one of the MacMall iMacs...
#1
And am posting from it. 21.5" i5 3.6Ghz 8GB RAM 1T HD running 10.6.4. Will update to 10.6.8 but will hold off on Lion till .2 or.3 comes out. Used Migration Assistant to copy over and it all seems OK so far. Decided to get one as I needed more oomph and I sold it before I even ordered the new one.

You suck!
(I paid $1269 for the same one . . . still the current price in the refurb store.)
FYI it was going for over $1600 (forget the exact amount) new.

I snagged one of the 27" iMac's for $1500 shipped. Plus they threw in a free (after rebate) HP OfficeJet 6000 printer and Parallels software. Figure I'll pawn those off on Amazon or fleabay to bring my net cost down to $1400.

Thinking about pumping it up to 8 gigs of RAM...maybe even 16 gigs.

Also playing around with the idea of installing an SSD in there, perhaps the 115GB one that OWC sells. And though I think I'm capable of doing the 'surgery' myself, due to the hassle, I'm contemplating using OWC's 'turn key' service they provide for this. Basically comes out to $200 (on top of the cost of the drive...which is $195) for the service (I think). Or I was thinking of just getting the drive, putting it in a FW800 enclosure, and hooking it up externally. Decisions, decisions...

I 'talked' them into it. Just asked if they could come down on the iMac any. They said no (too close to their margins), but offered a full rebate (instead of the partial ones).
