Facebook privacy question

I know... FB and privacy in the same sentence... LOL!

Now that's out of the way, a friend (honest, it is) is asking about whether or not someone can detect if you've been snooping about on their page looking at posted photos. Apparently they are sizing up their relatives new beau and are paranoid they are gonna get caught looking at the pics. Not sure why it matters but they asked, so I'm asking. I don't think anyone gets notification of said actions but figured I'd ask here to make sure. the only thing that came to mind was how some people will subscribe to an app within FB that tells them who their friends are that they converse with most (don't even know if those apps work or not but i know some people run them sometimes). Any input other than to tell them to stop snooping or stop being paranoid or both?

No. There is no way someone can find out if you're looking at public stuff on the interwebs. Unless the stalkee has stalked them first and knows their IP address, is logging them, and possibly reading their thoughts from their secret space station... in space !
