#1
How to backup baseband?

What is best app and group to get their support.

can it be restored just like original, if I want?

Do many people here, still Jailbreak?

Need to get my son on this. He did this recently to my wife's 3gs so we could tether it recently when our DSL was out. Wish I had the answers for you. If no one else responds, I'll try to get him on.

I do know we used Tether Me to set up tethering. It did not trigger any nasty messages from AT&T over the few days we used it. Note that it only enables USB and Bluetooth tethering. There is another program that can enable WiFi tethering on a 3gs, but it may trigger problems with AT&T wanting to charge a tethering fee.

Good luck.

You need to know two things before you proceed - the current baseband & current iOS that is installed

Are you just wanting to Jailbreak or are you unlocking too (sounds like it if you are backing up baseband)

If you are still running 4.3.3 just go to http://jailbreakme.com/ , click the button and cydia will start downloading and installing.
