Why don't the fonts substitute in this pdf file?

Help! The below file (about 2 MBs in size) created on a PC opens without rendering properly in Preview but opens fine in Acrobat Reader. I would like the file to open nicely in Preview without the baggage of Reader. Thanks!

Sadly, Microsoft makes everything work a little less efficiently. Have encountered this myself before. Publisher should be banned.

Ok, thanks. I was hoping there was a way to convert these to Preview readable PDFs using standard OS X stuff, i.e., Print -> Save as PDF.., etc.
