Trip Cancellation Insurance
#1
We've planned a 6 day trip to Jamaica around the X-Mas holidays, my wife, myself and our 3 kids. Since we've got the kids and the possibilities of someone being sick aren't that bad, my wife wants trip cancellation insurance.

I've looked at AAA and Am Ex. Any others that I should look at? Anyone actually have experience with one of them?

Some tried and true recommendations and good advice here. Whatever you decide, don't go with a no-name company you find on the web - use the established and well-known companies.

Read the fine print. Often in order to make a claim, they will need a doctor's note indicating that they are physically unable to fly. Also, even if you get this from a doctor for one of your children, you may not be able to claim the whole family.

Make sure you know what you're buying before you buy it.
