Former heavyweight champ Joe Frazier deathly ill with liver cancer

Joe Frazier was one of the most feared knockout artists in the history of boxing, but now he's facing an opponent very few can KO.
According to the N.Y. Post's Kevin Kernan, the 67-year-old Frazier is battling advanced stages of liver cancer.
"He's in serious shape, we're looking for a miracle,'' said a source close to the former heavyweight champ. "They're only giving him a short time to live. We need to have as many people as possible praying for Joe right now.''

Maybe he could get some Ali fans to "pray" for him -- or would he refuse that kind of prayer?

Or perhaps, he'd rather have a liver transplant? - if it isn't everywhere else by now...

My dad's brother & sister went that route.... in early 1970 and 1975. So did their father (my gramps). Dad surely knew the odds weren't in his favor... his number came up just a couple years later, but different version. Same result.

While I find the irony of the Frazier / Ali thing to be difficult to ignore, between my own genetics and Steve having just happened, it isn't something I look at lightly - so avoid your righteous temptations to criticize this post.
