Anyone know if there is a way to get an Apple TV to support Amazon streaming?

Thanks.

No I do not. Unless the Plex Amazon Video plug-in works. Then you could use Plex on an iOS device and then AirPlay the video over. In theory.
Sounds kludgy. That's the problem with Apple selling content itself: removes the incentive to allow the largest number of options. Wonder if they'll kill Netflix in a future update?

But isn't the Apple TV an iOS device? If so, shouldn't there be a way to get what you describe working on the Apple TV itself?

Last change log of the Apple TV Plex port was disheartening. Didn't work very well. Lots of bugs. Even if the port was 100%, still a kludge as you would need to jailbreak the Apple TV and hope the Amazon Video plug-in was functional.

Yes, the lack of content on the Apple TV is strange.
