3G versus 6G solid state drives

If I wanted to add a SSD drive to my mid 2010 iMac, would I get any benefit from a 6G drive?
This is the chipset that the system profiler says I have:

No, but you'll have a 6G drive when you move it to a newer machine which will almost certainly have 6G SATA.

I thing I'll wait until I can get a TB SSD for under ....:-)
