Orange Micro SCSI to Firewire Converter, Anyone know where to find drivers for?
#1
Anyone know where to find drivers for Orange Micro SCSI to Firewire Converter? I'm sure someone here knows the thingy I'm refering to. I can't find drivers for the life of me. Orange Micro is out of biz and no place seems to have the drivers/manuals.

Thanks in advance,
-MAC

Have you tried it without installing drivers?

I have a generic SCSI/USB adapter. It doesn't need drivers.

I looks like you want a driver called Orange Converter 1.2.1, but all the potential download sites shown by Google just link back to OrangeMicro itself. Sad

I don't know if this applies to the OrangeMicro SCSI to Firewire adapter, but others I knew of only required a driver for OS 9. It was not really a driver, more of a "shim" file between the Firewire interface and the SCSI driver built into the OS. One of the kext files in OS X takes care of the same thing, no driver was needed in addition. It is possible that kext file was dropped in a later version of OS X, I no longer have one of these adapters around to test.

Doc and JoeH may be right that you may not need a driver.

I'm also looking for the drivers v1.2.1 for the orange micro converter. Could you or someone mail me an image of the driver CD?
