Last summer in the Catskills. Shawarma King (279 East Broadway Monticello, NY). It was good but I thought a little pricey at $13 including the salad bar items.

That is way over the top Jack. I pay about $2 here for a very nice fat hand picked
and rolled Shawarma full of veggies and meat.

Is that a hammie and cheese shaurma?

Don't pick on the little critters. I feel bad enough they are at the bottom of the food chain. I miss my little guy Spritle.

Yeah, I was kinda shocked when I got the bill. It's a real Kosher place served by real old world Jews and I couldn't read the menu because it was in Hebrew. I figured off hand maybe 5-6 bucks each so I ordered three to go. $40 later and a "free" container of fruit salad (because I was obviously "not from around here") I was heading back to MA. Your $2 deal sounds more like it.

edit: the smiley is really supposed to be a close parenthesis )
