Wish it was more apparent

Damnable Touch downloaded all the photos I had on my mac and I didn't realize it. Wish apple would make deleting them more apparent like a "delete" button.
I also don't know why they don't tell you how to delete stuff from your Touch/ipad/ipod. They give all the instructions for installing but I can't find where they have a chapter on deleting. I have to search elsewhere.

Syncing your iTunes library with iPhone, iPad, and iPod is easy. By default, iTunes automatically syncs your entire iTunes library whenever you connect your device to your computer. Same thing happened to me. So how DO you delete stuff from the Touch?
