I'm going to work on Monday. How about you?

I didn't win the lottery so it's back to the grind on Monday. My secretary said goodbye to me yesterday because she promised she wasn't working again after winning (she did say she would mail me a check). One winning ticket was sold in Baltimore so I want to hear from Gutenberg soon otherwise I'll assume he won!

You're a she? I'd have thought you would have disclosed that by now.

For future reference you should check with HR-- the policy may be on the intranet; you're probably required to give at least 2 weeks' notice.

I was stunned that I did not win until my wife pointed out that I didn't buy a ticket. Still, It's wrong that the government holds out this promise that you're going to win millions and then screws up. As a matter of fact, I may look into legal action - I believe my rights against crude and unusable punishments under the 2nd admendment may have been tampered with.

Jardster,

I'm going to work on Monday. 'course, if I won, I'd still be going to work on Monday. First rule of winning money (i.e. lottery, inheritance, settlement, etc.) is to do nothing. Live life as normal while you get your people in place (accountant, financial advisor, attorney, etc). All bets are off after that. Smile
