Is there a fast, easy way to recycle Canon printer cartridges?

HP has a really slick method; they send out mailing packs that are prepaid.

Don't suggest Staples, because there isn't one around here.

I can't find anything on the Canon site, but maybe I'm search challenged?

i think Kinko's takes them. also Best Buy but maybe that's just cell phones.

sometimes Office Depot and Office Max will give you a ream of recycled paper for it.

Alpha,

It's too bad you don't have a Staples near you. The $3.00 per cartridge deal is great. Officemax is a reasomable alternative but I buy paper by the case so the Staples deal is preferable.

Do you have a local Cartridge World near you? They may take the empties off your hands or offer to refill them for a reasonable price. I'm not overly fond of refilling cartridges, so I'd hope they offer you a discount on replacement tanks.

I've never even heard of Cartridge World! The only place close is Office Depot, and more paper doesn't sound very interesting to me, either. I don't really care if I get anything, but I would like to find a place that will take them for recycling. I'll check with OD and see what they offer; I forgot to check it out the last time I was in there.

No, as a matter of fact, I don't live in the sticks, but some days it feels like it. Sad

well, it's good to recycle, but sometimes it is impractical, so what about the trash can? come on, we all do it, I try to recycle as much as possible, but for example, the Tropicana 1/2 gallon paper box, has a plastic neck, what are you supposed to do, take a scissors, cut the plastic neck off, and then recycle the cardboard box and the plastic neck separately? sometimes it's more practical to dispose in trash, if there is a GOOD reason for it.

If it's too much trouble, then that's exactly what's going to happen to it! I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something really simple, like the HP recycling program. Apparently not. Sad

Thanks everybody. Before I toss it I will check out OD; if all I get is paper, I suppose that's better than nothing.
