Of course. Not all music that doesn't use samples is good either. I'd go so far as to say 90% of the non-sample-based music out there is so derivative, it might as well be sampled. Just because someone played their own G-C-D chord progression doesn't make it better than a sample. It's the end product that matters. kj.
