Photos from last weekends quick Beach trip, huge Bandwidth Warning!
#1
We found an opportunity to get away for a couple days. This is the first trip we've taken since my surgery.
We ended up stopping at least every hour so that I could get out and move around a bit. It's also a challenge
when your wife and son have 58 head of Cattle and our 2 cats and a dog. So our awesome next door
tenants housesat for us and kept an eye out on the cows and took care of our pets. We were suppose to
stay 3 nights in a condo but the bedding was so bad that left one night early, my back simply could not
handle another night in my bed. We were suppose to check out at 10am Monday but decided to just
take our time relax some Sunday, pack up and left at about 3pm Sunday.

Otherwise we had a great time. It had been many years since we had visited the Oak Island and the Southport
area and there's been lots of changes. They now have two high rise bridges across the Intracoastal Waterway
over to the island. We tried some new restaurants along the wharf at Southport. The last time we were
in Southport it looked almost like a ghost town but man the place was busy with nearly every shop and
restaurant extremely busy, we were really shocked at how busy everything was. There was some sorta
boat building exhibition going on so that may contributed to the crowds.

It felt a bit a odd going on vacation without Jesse but all in all it went ok. We had a our moments of
memories with past trips with him but we managed it quite well.

Where we stayed, too cool for the pool but the hot tub was nice.

Great pictures but some of that huge bandwidth is from repeated photos, maybe you just loved Fishy Fishy!

That looks nice. I kind of like beach resorts in the off season since I'm really not into swimming in the ocean anyways.

I think I got that duplicate photo thing fixed.

Too bad the weather wasn't nicer but it looked warm at least. Is that North Carolina (saw a boat registration number with NC).

Nice pictures. I'm glad you've been able to get away and get some much needed R&R. Where's the FOOD?

It is North Carolina. It was in the upper 70's and very humid Sat.

I have some pictures of the food from Fishy Fishy ;-) The grilled Tilapia from a different restaurant was
the best we had all weekend.

You have inspired me to eat fish for dinner. And not in stick form.
