Finances again - wife now says Moneydance sucks and wants Quicken back.

I like Moneydance -- much prefer it to Quicken (esp. Quicken for PC). My only concern about Moneydance is that it requires Java to run. Nobody likes change and getting familiar with something different always brings the differences into highlight, which doesn't happen with the first-time application, for which there is no comparison.

But she won't give up thinking MD sucks. So just tell her she can have Quicken back if she'll be willing to use a Win PC -- and when she tries to use Quicken on the PC, she will absolutely screan to have MD back.....

Dick,

What does she not like about MoneyDance? I use Moneydance and, while not perfect by any stretch, it does the job. However, it can't compete with Quicken 2007. Neither Moneydance nor Quicken Essentials is as good as Quicken 2007. But, at least MoneyDance hasn't been practically abandoned by its publisher. There is something to be said for that. If she doesn't like MoneyDance, how about some of the other alternatives like iBank, Moneywell, Fortora Fresh Finance? Maybe one of them will do the job.
