Memory for older camera; 2 questions

IIRC, There were several cameras around the time of the changeover that were stuck at the 2GB limit, while their (usually) more expensive siblings handled the newer/larger capacity cards...

now if I could just get the MBP to consistently read all SD cards fed into it's slot...
