So, who ordered an iPad mini last night?

My iPhone and Touchpad (rooted to Android) fill my needs. I use the iPhone the most. Work uses Windoze, so I live in that environment most of the time. I can't justify an iPad for me... mrs. cbelt3 has one, and has been rumbling about wanting a new iPad for Christmas.

My son ordered a black 32 GB. He couldn't decide on color. First white, then black finally.

Big and heavy...well okay, but hotness? Mine is heavily used and I have never noticed any such thing. It barely gets warm, even when using heavy duty apps like iMovie or Real Racing 2 HD.

What's the deal with yours?

The left edge running vertically gets warmer (actually a bit hot) than the rest of the iPad.

If the non-retina display is NOT a deal-breaker

I'm going to check that out, too.

I fully expect that Apple will eventually offer one with a Retina display, but who knows when that will be.

Even if I get one, my new iPad will stay. That screen is gorgeous and it's still very handy.
