Getting tired of folder contents reverting to Large
#1
I open up folders with files and they are huge, tumbled on top of each other and I constantly have to go to View to rearrange them and the little button to get them smaller. I never had this trouble before I installed ML and L. I'm getting sick of having to have to constantly go thru this.

Is there something I need to click? to keep them from reverting to however my Mac wants them to look in the folder?

Excuse me if I'm wrong, but it sounds like you have View > As Icons selected. I really like View > As Columns. For me, it's an easy way to keep organized.

Yes, I have ICONS in view.I've tried columns but don't really like the column thing. I like the icons and want them to stay PUT! anyway to do that?

:agree:

But it sounds like sam has ownership/permission issues or a bad pref file*
if the folder settings don't "stick".

Trash that file, then restart your computer.

You'll have to reset your Finder prefs, like view as icons and at what sizes, but it should stick after that.

Set up a Finder window the way that you like it, open View > Show View Options and click the button that says "use as defaults."
