Rust Belt city collapse has provided an opportunity for corrupt political organizations to cash in. Detroit is just an example. I saw the same thing happening in Buffalo. The situation is closer to "Zombie Apocalypse" than any commonly recognizable urban situation.
At its peak in 1950, the Detroit was the fifth-largest in the United States. Its population has since declined dramatically, dropping more than 60 percent in 60 years, from 1,849,568 in 1950 to below an estimated 700,000 by 2012.
The population collapse has resulted in vast numbers of abandoned homes and commercial buildings, and areas of the city hit hard by urban decay.
There's your real problem.

'Really , it's the classic Dem solution -
"You're too stupid to run things. We will do it for you." '
Except it is a republican that did this. When you comment without reading the article, you just make yourself look stupid.
"Snyder, a Republican, announced Orr last week as Detroit’s emergency financial manager to address the city’s cash crisis and long-term liabilities of more than $14 billion. His first day on the job is Monday.
Critics have said Orr’s appointment takes away residents’ right to elect their leaders. "

Just like Americans who train-wrecked America by voting for Obimbo. They SHOULD lose their right to elect....

There's a new Carls Jr around the corner. I tried it. I found the chicken club to be a pleasing vintage with an oakish challenge to the palate and a somewhat insolent aftertaste. The coffee was essentially mediocre, but the ice-water was top notch.

Sounds good. I'm a Six Dollar Burger man myself.

Doesn't hold a candle to Chic-Fil-A, if you can ignore the corporate politics.

I like Chic-Fil-A a lot. We don't have any near where I live though. There were bunches of them when I lived in Atlanta. I already have to ignore the politics of most products I consume.
