"Called the Brain Research through Advancing Innovative Neurotechnologies (BRAIN) Initiative, the program aims to help researchers see how brain cells and neural circuits interact through technology that produces "dynamic pictures" of the brain.

Which is VERY cool and potentially very useful. However.... To me it's kind of like mapping the hard drive in a computer. It's subject to change. Especially in cases of damage (like mine). My memory is definitely remapping itself. My sense of smell also rewired itself ,which was VERY weird... once the smeller started working, everything was 'different'.... dog poop smelled like chocolate for a while, my wife's perfume smelled like dog poop, etc...
But then I'm not a neuroscientist. Research is always a good thing.
