Whats the latest on iMac screen repairs? Just took mine in

I just took my 2009 27" iMac into the Apple Store due to gray splotchiness on the screen. i had one day left under applecare. The issue was sorted within a couple of minutes and i was told the display would be replaced.

Has anyone had trouble with the replacement screens?

(I was hoping that I might get an upgrade since its been nearly four years since the machine was made but no such luck.)

They replaced our 27" iMac screen out of warranty, took them about 15 minutes to do it and all is still well.
That was several months ago.
