Sgt. Abraham Ford (To Those That Know - Spoiler Alert!)
#1
To those that don't know, this is a thread about the show "The Walking Dead".

I think I'm going to like the new characters introduced recently. (I haven't been following the comic book, so wasn't aware of these folks until they showed up on the tv series)

I think the Sarge and his buds may add a little more spice to the mix if they join up with Rick and the clan. Ford seems quite capable, and would give Daryl and Rick a run for the money in "tough guy" situations. Eugene might add some comic relief to an otherwise grim setting. (loved how he killed the truck). And Rosita? Hubba Hubba!!

But what's the deal with his hair? 1 and 1/2 year into the zombie apocalypse and Ford looks pretty damn clean cut. That looks like a $300. haircut to me. Is Eugene or Rosita professional stylists, or what? Confusedmiley12:

Seems to me he would be a little bit grubbier than presented.

I still like the show a lot. Hasn't went stale on me yet, but I'm sure others have had enough already.

Most military personnel I know take hygiene seriously. It's ingrained along with the "clean weapons and equipment first" zero defect ethos. I don't have a problem with that.

I do wonder what the heck those people are drinking much of the time. I never see anyone with a canteen or water bottle. Or dying of Cholera.

I'm sticking with the show. I really enjoy it, despite not being thrilled with some of the storylines. And every time I start questioning the "reality" of the show (Really? Rosita's going to wear that to the zombie apocalypse? ) I check myself and remember that it's all in good fun.

I still think the first two seasons were the best.

The episodes from the second half of this season so far have been among the best of the entire series.

i agree
i really liked the flow of Inmates, which touched on several isolated groups of survivors yet also tied them together via common locations where they travelled. it kept me engaged not knowing who was going to be presented next.

...and not knowing when they might cross paths.

I had thought all three added some comic relief. I mean seriously, can the writers make these caricatures any more over-the-top? A mullet wearing, savant type nerd with a name like Eugene. A brash cigar chomping Capt. America GI Joe in a tank top with an over-the-top Presidential name, Abraham Ford. And then there's Tomb Raider,, errr,, Rosita. Maybe she's Abraham's hair stylist Smile Love it all. Hope they add some fun and levity to the series. It IS a comic book series after all.

All three of those characters appear in the comic pretty much exactly as you described them.
