How to remove that "Show Top Site" icon from Safari bookmarks bar?
#1
Has anyone figured out a little hack to remove the "Show Top Site" icon that sits on the far left of Safari's bookmarks bar (I'm using v 7.0.3 (9537.75.14) running Mavericks). I presume I'd need to change some deep file, but I'm willing to break stuff to get rid of it.

(again, I'm referring to that actual 12-dot icon, just to the right of the "Show sidebar" icon. I want it gone)

Is the checkbox for hiding/showing Top Sites in the Bookmarks Preference tab gone in the Mavericks version of Safari? I don't know, I'm using Snow Leopard...

Correct. In fact, there's no more Bookmark preference tab in Mavericks.

If I noticed that icon, I never paid any attention to it.

If you right-click on the Toolbar, and select Customize, you should be able to delete it. But it won't move here (10.8.5, Safari 6.1). ??

Never noticed before that I've got an "Open current page in Internet Explorer" icon! Could be handy, actually, for those cockamamie web sites that require IE. Seems to require a running Windows VM, though.
