anybody remember an old show about a guy who got hit by lighting and had to be "recharged" periodically? And of course he went around having adventures like the 6 million dollar man. He had to check is "watch" which was actually his battery meter all the time.

NO, but it sounds like you may have watched too much of Ken & Dr. Tim's Fun-Time Show or .....Herbal Gardening With Tommy Chong >Big Grin<

(Sorry, I'm stumped on this one.)

Ultraman, only has 3 minutes of power on earth due to atmosphere that filter out Solar Energy.
Ultraman has one main weakness: Since Earth's atmosphere filters out his solar energy, Ultraman can only be on Earth for 3 minutes. To signal this, a device in Ultraman's chest called the Color Timer starts out at blue, then starts to blink at 1:00, and then turns red and blinks faster at 2:00. If the Colortimer stops, Ultraman will "never rise again." Some sources have given 2:10 as the mark where the Timer begins to blink. Obviously at this point, Ultraman typically must defeat his foe as soon as possible and return to his human host. However, Ultraman occasionally has been able to recharge to extend his operating time.

I remember some old shows where electricity and/or watches featured prominently, such as Automan and The Girl, The Gold Watch and Everything, but I can't recall any show that features what you are talking about. I did, however, Google for it, and I came across this thread where someone else is inquiring about the same thing; nobody ever successfully answered the question.

(you'll need to search for "lightning" a few times, because this is longish)

Ultraman used a similar CONCEPT, but is not the show this person is thinking of (I believe).

Patrick Duffy's "Man From Atlantis" might be the show you are thinking of -- the character can only be out of water for so long and (IIRC) uses a digital watch to keep track.

"The Invisible Man" on Sci-Fi had that snake tatooo to monitor his chemical levels, where his watch would be.
