Looking for your ideas for my charging issue on an iPhone 4. Bought it secondhand, and it seems to have intermittent issues charging the battery. I'll plug it in, will indicate that it is charging, but battery level will actually go down rather than up. I replaced the dock connector and battery, same behavior. Swapped power "bricks", tried charging plugged in to computer as well. Seems as though every dozen or so times I try to replug the charging cable, it will result in correct charging, but just about every other time, it is apparently not charging. This behavior has not changed since the parts were replaced. I have done complete factory resets (starting with a new phone rather than restoring from backup) a couple of times now as well. Running iOS 7.12.
Any tips to try would be appreciated.
Don't want to bail on this phone if I can help it, because it works just fine otherwise. But I also can't expend the time and energy to keep trying to fix this thing every day or two. Maybe I'll look for a used iPhone 5.
