Since there is an 11-inch MacBook Air, the answer is pretty certainly no.

Get a case explicitly designed for a 13-inch laptop and it should fit. Read the Amazon reviews if you want to be an informed shopper.

Check the model number on the bottom of the MBA. It should be A1369. That refers to the exterior of the case, not the specific 'guts' inside. An external case that fits your 2010 MBA should fit all other A1369 model cases. Looking it up at everymac.com, A1369 covers the late 2010 13", the 2011 13" models and the EDU only 2012 model.
