10.6 users -- are you patched?
#1
Given that Apple has dropped support for 10.6, and neglected to provide patches for the Shellshock and NTP vulnerabilities, others have had to step in and provide patches (and easy-peasy installers).

Any issues with these patches?

Can't really comment, other than I have been thinking about using an older MacBook running 10.6 as a simple file/web server, so I suppose I would want to make sure it was thoroughly patched. Can you provide any links to said patches?

I'd like to know more too.

If you poke around, people have packaged ready-made installers to replace the vulnerable bash and NTP components, instead of having to compile them yourself.

Such as this and this.

More info here.

My server, arcade cabinet, and two old Macs being used as HTPCs thank you.

One tip: if you use one of these patches on a Hackintosh, don't forget to Repair Permissions after patching.
