I used to be a fan, still listen a few minutes on occasion but now I find I tire quickly of his affect. He is truly talented and driven, though. On the creepy front, he had an advice column on Salon a while back (not sure if that's still active); some young woman asked a sex-related question and it was just weird/creepy to have him answer it.

Is he less creepily sexist solo? I used to love PHC, but lately i can't get past the ubiquity of stories in which attractive, purportedly intelligent women end up enchanted by a gross old man. It's like he's enacting his own fantasies on stage night after night. Ick.
That sounds more like
Guy Noir, not GK...

72 is young for a robot martian. No worries, he's got like thirty more years in him before he'll have to retire back to the homeworld.
Say what?

I played on the show once. It was a lot of fun and just the right amount of winging it and rehearsal to make it exciting but not scary. Luckily, it was at the Fitzgerald Theater which was laid out just like I had imagined (facing west from the stage.) One thing I enjoyed was there were about four rows of bleacher seats along the back of the stage and I got to joke and chit-chat with the people in them.
I may not be remembering this right but it seems like the guests hung out in sort of a kitchen with couches behind the stage. GK swung through once and met everyone. It seemed like there was lots going on in his big ol' noggin.
I have noticed his creepy side but he does mine a lot of comedy from it.

Really like that guys show. PHC was always great entertainment for me on Sunday drives home from Northern MI when it was time to get back to my day job on Mondays.
Creepy? I've never noticed that.

A lot of GK's musical guests are young, most likely the age difference in skit casting. I must be missing the creepy part; the female characters I remember are all stronger than the usual bumbling character GK writes for himself.
You know, the mellowing agents of catchup have been shown to make one see others in a more positive light... Catchup for the good times... With a slice of Beebop-A-Ree-Bop Rhubarb Pie⢠and some Powdermilk Biscuits, one's bliss can be complete.
