Time Machine Error
#1
I have a mac Mini File server (10.6.8 server) and I have a MBP (10.9.5) using TimeMachine to back up to that server. everything worked fine for a long time, perhaps 18 months or so.

Now I get messages that Time Machine backup failed. I restarted server, didn't help. I logged in to the server and tried to look at the disk image and I get this error:

any idea? The server and external hard drive are on a UPS and I never had a power failure, in fact the server was on for more than 200 days when I restarted a few days ago.

I think this is the problem. I have no idea how this got corrupted since I onlu have time machines (macs on the network as well as the server itself) back up, I don't have other files on this drive.

Macintouch has a whole series about Time Machine -- problems, the fact that it doesn't back up stuff without warnings, hints, etc.; going back to 2009:

Try DiskWarrior on the drive. It'll fix most of the disk problems that DU can't.

I ran into that -- the only solution I could get was to reformat the drive and start backing up from scratch

Time machine errors can have serious consequences. I hope you end up in an era where people bathe, at least.

Space-Time has that Time Machine under control.

I hate it when that happens. The last time I had this problem, I woke up and my Apple Watch was nowhere to be found!

(Oh, wait - that was THIS MORNING!)
