Sure enough, I was just looking at the camera with Mavis and guess what…

a fingerprint right smack in the middle of the lens

I better get that adapter and a filter real fast.

why should I keep the second S3? I already have Canon 20D.

As I always say, "that's just my opinion, I could be wrong."

I just followed through on the adapter and found one made by Lensmate that is made from aluminum. It seemed to be a much better product than the plastic adapter from Canon. A clip-in lens cap was available with it as well as a Hoya HMC UV filter for a total price that I felt was only $15.00 (including shipping) more than the Canon adapter alone.

I can't wait to get these accessories in place on Mavis camera, so that I can stop worrying about the lens.
