I need to print a banner. Probably 8.5" high x 48" long. Any free/shareware applications out there that work well (and easy)? I'm using Tiger on my 12" (AL) PB. My printer of choice is a Brother HL-5150D Laser (I can use an HP Deskjet 990cse if I need).

Yep - lots of sighs!
AbiWord will do a banner, but the letters are too small - 72.

You could just DL a 30 day trial of the Adobe stuff like Photoshop, Elements, Illustrator or Quark 7 if you want the typical apps.
