Charitable "Policeman's Association" Caution, RANT
#21
Thanks for the update. Confusedmiley-signs003:

Make sure all the utilities, banks, and credit cards get notified. Do not put the new number on a voter registration card, I learned that the hard way. Looking back, we should have changed my Mom's, but there were soo many people to notify (26 entries on her credit report alone).

If you don't have a big button phone for her, you might want to look for one. It took us three tries to find one she liked (could read the buttons, not too loud of a ringer, and worked with her hearing aid). You might want to print out a sticker with the new phone number.

Edit: It may be a real charity that raises money for the community, but the way they do it is very inefficient and tends to target vulnerable people. If they buy and sell telemarketing target lists, it essentially is a scam.

Filliam, all doctors and the pharmacy we/she deals with call my house now, for my wife to deal, been that way for awhile, as the docs know she has memory loss. SIL also has her credit card and does all bills, etc online. We have the debit card for emergency cash needs, as we are 5 minutes across town. Thought we had ALL blank checks, but she did find a box of unused ones, I snuck them out last night during the debacle.

I think we have her protected from herself now.
