Be aware that msglee's and RAMmies links are to a USB 2 drive, not a USB 3 drive. The listing doesn't even mention read/write speeds.

Do it right the first time— Sandisk Extreme. The read speed on all 3 sizes is over 200 MB/sec and the write on the 64GB is 190 MB/sec and roughly half that for the 32 and half again for the 16. But the real advantage is the small file read & write, wayyy closer to a real SSD than regular sloo-o-o-w-w-w-w-w thumb drives.
