I vaguely remember him, since he was from my Dad's generation, but Pop knew who he was. Listening to my Dad's music as a kid might be how I know who he is.

jdc, ye're probably too young to know of him. A great singer.
My favorites are from the '50s through '60s. Kenny Vance, Johnny Maestro, Jerry Butler, many many more from that era. Wow, what music! Sonny James was more country, and a great singer.

I remember lot of his songs when I went through some playlists. My parents might have liked some of his stuff but Dad never bough any of Sonny James albums that I know of.
