#1
....on Monday....so far, has been hohum......similar to 'X-Files' but in the past.......not great but if nothing to watch, will watch it...

......the biggest problem has been that I find Michael Weston's acting to be an anachronism.....he is supposed to be an American in that time but he acts too much like someone from the present.....every time he speaks/on screen, he take me out of the time period....

The Pall of LaPier

The trio investigate a small town where almost everyone died simultaneously with no visible cause. However Adelaide is distracted by the revelation that her husband faked his death, while Houdini continues to see his mother's ghost, and fears he is going mad.

final episode of the season.....?!

Worked through the series awhile ago. Really. Great way to get some work done - takes almost no concentration to follow the story.

Very bland. No suspense. No real conflict. No deep mysteries. Seems like they threw in the "ghost" at the last minute when someone realized that after almost a whole season the characters still had no depth and were not even enjoyable for the lousy dialogue.

Nothing worth revisiting in a second season.

It's a good, not great show. This time of year - they have nearly no competition as everyone else is showing reruns. I hope the stories get better and it returns next year.

Even more tepid, compromised, network-homogenized and cheaper made than Elementary (without the locations). It's just bad television. I rate this CW-.

I'm a big fan of Elementary but didn't make it through three episodes of Houdini.

I stopped a few minutes into the third episode, instead at least finishing it.

There was just nothing of interest for me, and I've made the mistake of dismissing a show in the first couple of episodes, only to find it got it's legs shortly thereafter.

But this had nothing to attract and interest me.

Full disclosure though, magic and occult are a really hard sell for me.
