"Some people take photos of designs they see out in the world that inspire them. Others create mood boards for tracking inspiration. But having a photo of something isn't the same as being able to use it in your own work. Knowing this, Fiona O'Leary, a student at the Royal College of Art, developed a prototype called the Spector, so she could capture any font and color she sees in the world. "

OK, that's pretty brilliantly cool.

I saw that yesterday...while I was searching for a font match! Personally, my life is too cluttered with 100's of different fonts and customers that always want something I don't have. So, if elected, my first rule of office will be to limit the global choice of fonts to 3. Helvetica, Papyrus and Comic Sans, if you can't say it with any of those it's not important.

OK,OK, now you got me thinkin'. Maybe it is excessive. I think we could weed through all these choices and come up with a more manageable list! I like the cut of your jib Sir!

Ya know, that doesn't look as godawful as would be expected. Since the Comic Sans properties are dominant, I think that just proves once and for all that Papyrus is the worst font ever.

I don't think Papyrus is all that bad. I mean, for certain uses. Not as an advertising or publication font, but maybe more lightweight uses. There's tons uglier.

BTW, I'm getting a bit weary of the way the internet pushes these prototypes as if they were on their way any day now. This is probably going to be added to the list of things like the Scribble https://thescribblepen.com/ and myIDkey https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/myi...our-finger and Kreyos https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/kreyo...#/comments that look real but in fact are only as real as the prototype.
