Good for them for holding the EPA's feet to fire on this. I hope they are successful - sooner rather than later.
I imagine there's a good chance that you sort of resist much of what is considered "politically correct" language, but using the term "warpath" with respect to American Indians is something I think a fair number of American Indians would find at least a bit offensive.
Just for fun - here is a line from the original lyrics of the Washington Redskins fight song:
“Braves on the warpath,
fight for Old Dixie!
Scalp ’em, swamp ’em,
we will take ’em big score.”

Here in New York, the warpath is now the New York State Thruway.
It's a toll road and in winter, it fights back.
As I recall, the upstate version of that NY Thruway was just another way to lighten the wallet of out of state travellers, not terribly different from the income derived by Georgia from out of state Yankees. Driving to Florida through Georgia with a NY, Conn or Mass plate was almost a guarantee of being ticketed, driving upstate NY to Montreal with an out of state plate wasn't much different.

I wouldn't be surprised if someone at EPA told the tribes to sue. The EPA has been underfunded for years. They were told by Congress to cut research on climate change. The Senate held up Obama's nomination of the current administrator for a record length of time (cough*climate_change*cough) and members of the House have tried to impeach her.

The EPA said (to the CO people) after about 3 days…nothing to worry about. So….we are to trust the EPA? The Indians are afraid, rightfully, that all the metals dispersed could cause illness or pollute their crops. Not to worry, folks….the EPA says all is well.

Republicans have been railing against and cutting funding for decades, if the federal government can't, doesn't or won't act, blame it on lack of funding. Almost the entire Florida Congressional delegation voted against funding to fight the FIKA Virus
Diverting the cost of one extra unneeded weapons system would have funded the ability to crush this menace but Republicans in Congress think jobs for their district or contributions from defense contractors are more important than public health issues.
By this time next week Miami and environs will be a tourist wasteland.

Puerto Rico tourism increased by almost 5% this year. depute Zika.
Scaremongering regarding Miami and South Beach tourism is just that.
Tourism in Turkey and Egypt iis down yet Greece, Spain and Portugal is up. No rocket science required to understand why there.
Fewer Chinese, Japanese, mid-east and American tourists are going to Europe. Lufthansa and Finnair have announced stalled plans for new planes/increased capacity.
Celebrity has moved a cruise ship from the Med to the Caribbean for Summer cruises which is odd for them. Although NCL has moved an equal capacity ship from the Caribbean to the Med. Both for Summer 2017.
