Palm Treo 680 set to drop
#1
A midrange, slimmer, and lower priced (not announced, but expected to be in the $200 range) replacement for the Treo 650. No carriers were announced, but the Cingular icon in one of the similated screen shots is a giveaway.

And I just broke down and bought a used T3 from one of my clients, too. But knowing Palm, it's probably wise to see how the reviews come out and what glitches come up.

I just got an email from Palm about it. No details on price, just specs and info.

I will be due a new phone from Cingular in a few months, this might be interesting.
I hope Apple comes out with their phone, if they are going to, before then.
I have had a Palm since the day the III came out, but would love to have one less gadget to carry.

I'm using a Zire 72, and use it a lot. I sync with my Macs and with my PC at work.

I'm also in the market for a phone, as right now just my wife and kids have phones. My Verizon 2 yr deal is due in December, but I might switch. Cincular has a pretty decent rep here...

So how is it for a straight Palm user to switch to a Treo? Experiences? What are the chances this will be a good device?

I thought the 700p was the replacement for the 650. Only problem with my 700p is that its slow.
