We've been bombing in Syria for awhile, I think. Bombing carefully, if that's not an obvious oxymoron.

I just hope Trump doesn't fancy himself a "war president" like one of our recent ones liked to. That kind of becomes self-fulfilling.

Stealth Bomber strikes... Nope. Not unless we take down their air defense network.
Full on Alpha Strikes . Definitely not until their Air Defense AND C&C networks are degrade to throwing rocks and using carrier pigeons.

I think that Trump was advised that this would be the most "I'm not Obama" response possible, with the added benefit of "I'm not Putin's puppet" and "Watch out North Korea" bonus points. It was definitely all for show.
