This season was all gravy for Yankee fans.

I just read this --
Through 2016, the American League has won 64 World Series championships and the National League has won 48.
The New York Yankees have won the most World Series championships at 27, and the St. Louis Cardinals come in second with 11.

So over half of the ALs WS wins are Yankee wins.

I like to think of those 27 wins as a collaborative. The rest of the American League existed to promote the Yankees and their owners' bottomless pockets.
